(In March, 1906, Governor General Wood ordered the assault on Bud Dajo, a summit of an extinct volcano near Jolo, where about six hundred moro men, women and children built an impregnable "cotta" and stood defiantly, refusing to pay taxes or recognize the authority of the American colonial government. )

Who Is to blame, GMA?
Indeed, the country is in a leadership crisis. This crisis is not necessarily ascribed solely to GMA, or even to Erap but it had been with us since the third republic was inaugurated in 1946. I believe that from President Roxas down to GMA, we have not had a leader who is an embodiment of the lofty aspirations of the Filipino people.

P437 billion NAPOCOR debt
There is an urgent matter that needs Senate Blue Ribbon committee attention and this is the proposed pass on to the electricity consumers the P437 billion NAPOCOR debt. Philippines for sale?
94,000 hectares in Mindoro leased to a Korean firm to produce corn solely for export to Korea. 128,000 hectares in Ilocos region leased to a Japanese company to produce biodiesel for Japan. China wants 100,000 hectares in Mindanao. My God, what are we doing to our country?
Are we producing too much food already that we have no more need for these thousands of hectares of land that are better used to feed our starving millions?
After the mines and the timber and the wild life and the corals ........ now, it's the tierra firma.
Who are the people behind these deals and why does the government allow the partitioning of our patrimony?
